Uganda is open for your business

A2i Delegation to Uganda in April

The Danish Embassy in Uganda, Access2innovation, and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council are pleased to invite your company to participate in this 2026 agribusiness delegation to Uganda.

Why Uganda?

Uganda is one of Africa’s most stable and open countries, with ambitious growth targets and an agribusiness sector full of opportunities. This delegation visit will enable Danish companies to meet key partners and potential customers, display their products and services, and gain firsthand knowledge about the Ugandan agribusiness industry and market. Why? There are many reasons:

  • The agricultural sector in Uganda accounts for a significant part of the country’s GDP and export earnings. With the agricultural sector employing approximately 70% of the population, the sector plays a crucial part for the country’s economy.
  • Uganda is very close to its target of lower-middle-income status—partly through serious reform of the agricultural sector from subsistence farming to commercial farming. The sector is now more competitive and profitable.
  • Urbanization is high, the middle class is growing, and demand for agricultural production is increasing.
  • All of the above offer great opportunities for Danish companies. The demand for improved quality production and processing equipment, cold-chain facilities, and packaging and storing facilities is high, and the need for quality control remains a challenge for Ugandan agricultural exports.

The delegates will have an opportunity to meet and explore synergies with implementing partners of the Danish development programs in Uganda.

CT Technologies thanks A2i and the Danish Embassy:

A2i Member Supported in Uganda

Roudy Akiki, Chief Commercial Officer Africa at A2i member CT Technologies, recently travelled to Uganda to advance concrete commercial discussions and meet with clients. The settings of his journey were supported by Access2innovation and the Danish Embassy in Uganda.

-Roudy Akiki, how was your journey?

Roudy Akiki: It was great to be back in Uganda on the ground.

-How did A2i and the Danish Embassy help you?

Roudy Akiki: A2i and the Danish Embassy supported us in identifying key leads with a clear need for our solutions. A2i coordinated the entire visit and structured the agenda to ensure meetings with relevant stakeholders, enabling us to present our offers with the objective of converting these opportunities into confirmed orders and generating new business in the country.

-Did that increase the outcome of the journey?

Roudy Akiki: Yes - a big thank you to Access2Innovation and the Danish Embassy in Uganda for their continued support and collaboration in enabling impactful cold chain projects across East Africa.

-What was your program?

Roudy Akiki: During this visit, I had the pleasure of touring the flower farms of one of our key clients, the largest flower exporter in the country, beautifully located on the shores of Lake Victoria. The visit continued with a tour of a state-of-the-art export cold store facility at Entebbe Airport, developed by Fresh Handling Ltd., a multi-stakeholder company including this exporter, and designed specifically to handle perishable exports, particularly flowers. This is another advanced cold chain project delivered by CT Technologies in Africa, now in its final stages before becoming fully operational.

Beyond ongoing projects, I also met with new clients and investors with strong, well-defined inquiries, and we are actively working on converting these discussions into new cold chain projects in the near term.
