"Now Africa is waking up"

During our packed three-day delegation visit to Nairobi from 10 to 14 November, Access2innovation facilitated a program of meetings, talks, and local engagements, showcasing the strong and growing collaboration between Kenyan and Danish food and agriculture companies. One of the content delegation members is Jurgens Reynders, MD at DanBred Africa (Pty) Ltd. He is very satisfied with the trip and is now preparing for a significant order to Kenya in March.

A Significant Order in March

“I am sure we will have business with the Kenyan companies we met at the November delegation. A2i’s representative, John Magnay, made excellent preparations, and we met several producers and visited pig farms,” says Jurgens Reynders, MD at DanBred Africa (Pty) Ltd. He continues:

“We always like to jump on delegates to build more efficient contact with potential customers, especially in Africa, where business can be slow and expensive to start. But now Africa is waking up. We have already exported numerous shipments of breeding gilts and boars to Uganda. We want to help pig breeders in all African countries, not only in South Africa, where we are already well established.”

In addition to the personal meetings, DanBred was introduced to a WhatsApp group for Kenyan pig producers.

“The group is most useful—we are very glad to be part of it and to communicate directly with the farmers,” concludes Jurgens Reynders.

The delegation comprised DanBred, DACS, Cimbria, FOSS Analytics, Jimco, LINCO Incubator, and Zealand Business College.
